I Love Making Handmade Soap

One of my favourite fragrance oils lately has been Orange Cranberry and if you are the type of person like me who loves a fresh orange of any kind well then this is a scent for you. It is so fresh and just exudes beauty and happiness in my opinion.

I have made many bath bombs in this scent and so many friends, family and customers have spoken very highly about how much they love the smell and use of them in general. So I was asked to make a soap made with the same fragrance and I am so happy that I did.

So here is the outcome of my soap,

When I first made the soap the colour was much more vibrant however after sitting for a few days it lightened up but I am still very pleased with it.

So until my next soap have a Fantastic Day!! :)

My Handmade Soap After The Cut

So I finally got around to cutting my handmade soap and I am happy with the outcome. I have to say however that I did get some glycerin rivers which was a little bit of a disappointment but other than that I think I am pretty pleased overall.

This has only happened to me a couple of times in the last three years so I really shouldn't be so hard on myself but I think I may be a bit of a perfectionist. Glycerin rivers are not a problem to the soap being used at all, it is more of a visual appearance sometimes that may be a bothersome to some people. I actually think it's more of an annoyance to myself because like I said I'm a perfectionist and I have a hard time when I don't do things just perfect.

So this is what I ended up with after the cut!
This is the little design I ended up with after cutting the soap. I think it still looks pretty cute even with my tiny bit of imperfection but I will be sure to stir my colours a little longer next time around so this does not happen again. Looking forward to creating my next batch of soap because I literally come up with ideas sometimes at the last moment and just hope they are a little bit different and fun each time.
Have a fantastic day! :)

Handmade Soap Idea

A fun idea for a child's handmade soap has so very many possibilities! There is always something new and exciting or popular that the children are talking about. So today I decided to try and create a cute little soap that kids can enjoy and also because unicorns seem to be the big rave right now.

You can see so many wonderful unicorn soaps and bath bombs of all kinds that so many artisans make. They are just simply amazing and the creativity that people come up with is just fantastic. So if you have an interest in handmade soaps search the internet for some facebook soaping groups or blogs they are just filled with talented artisans.

Hers is the handmade soap I created today!
I cannot wait to cut through this soap to see the design inside, if you know me and read my posts, it is one of the things in soap making that I really enjoy. I just love the creativity and the imagination side of soap making it really is a wonderful craft.

Well now that you have seen the before the cut photo I will post the end results when it is ready to be cut in a day or two.
Have a fantastic day! :)

My Handmade Soap After The Cut

Well I am pleasantly surprised with my Black Raspberry Vanilla handmade soap that I made a couple of days ago. I normally wait a day or two before cutting my soap just to ensure it is just right to cut and easy to remove from the mold as well.

This time when making my soap I decided to go a little less vibrant with the colours in the centre of the soap than I normally would, just to see what would come of it and I really was happy with the results.

So just to recap a little bit this fragrance works very well when making soap you have more than enough time to design or pipe without any worry. Sometimes fragrances can accelerate too quickly and that can be a problem when you are wanting to pipe or swirl in your design when soaping.

This is what I ended up with
Well that was the end result of my Black Raspberry Vanilla Soap! So until next time, which I'm sure won't be too long lol thanks for taking the time to stop by to take a quick look at my latest handmade soap.
Have a fantastic day! :)

My First Handmade Soap For 2018

First let me start by saying I hope everyone has had an amazing start to the New Year! We had a wonderful holiday with family and friends and hoping for even brighter days ahead.

I finally decided today was the day to make my first soap for 2018 and honestly had the hardest time deciding what I wanted to make because I have so many new fragrances. Well to say the least I went with a scent I have made before but just cannot seem get enough of. The scent I chose was Black Raspberry Vanilla simply because I love everything about it, the smell is wonderful and it is so easy to work with when making soap.

When I made this soap I had no real design in mind which is really not the norm for how I do things but I just thought to myself lets just see where this goes and had fun with it. I must say that I cannot wait to cut it because that is one of the steps in soap making that I enjoy most. So in a couple of days I will be sure to post the results of the freshly cut soap and hopefully it looks ok.

Here is the before look at the soap before the cut!
I decided to do a little piping and some raspberry embeds on the top of the soap to add a little fun. Well I hope everyone tunes in to see the final cut as soon as it is ready I will be sure to post.
Have a fantastic Day

My Handmade Soap After The Cut

It has been so very busy this holiday season which is why it has taken so very long for me to post. I had made an Apple N Spice soap that I seriously just loved creating and finally have the chance to share with everyone the cut and finished product.

So here is the the final product,
So this is what I ended up with and so very pleased with the final cut. I have so many fun soaps that I have created that I will share with everyone. I enjoy looking at all the soaps that people have created as their are so very many talented individuals out their and it also gives myself the motivation to give it my all and try my very best to make the best bar of soap that I can. Not only do I want to create a beautiful soap but I also put so much effort into a beautiful recipe that will make my skin feel silky and smooth. Until next time!

Have a fantastic day!!! :)

My Handmade Apple N Spice Handmade Soap!

This is another wonderful scented soap that I just made today and it has notes of apple, cinnamon and clove. Again this fragrance had no acceleration issues at all, I had a long period of time to design and swirl and place the fantastic little apple embeds on top.

I love making the little embeds for designing soaps. I just think sometimes it's nice to have a little extra added fun and creativity when making the design. I enjoy taking the time to think about what I envision for the outcome of my soap bars however sometimes that is not always the case.

I really wish we had all the wonderful items here in Canada that are offered in the States because they have so many amazing products. Just to name a few their silicone slab molds are amazing, I purchased one from Nurture Soap and wanted to order another but it was out of stock. So that just goes to show just how fantastic the item is. I also really want to try Mad Micas because their mica colours look absolutely gorgeous. I do buy a lot of my products at a wonderful soap supply company called Candora and they are simply fantastic with every item I have ever purchased. I could go on and on when it comes to beautiful items used for soap making.

Ok so here is the handmade soap Apple N Spice I made today!
I am so very impatient when I have to wait to cut my soaps but I am positive all soap makers feel the same way I do lol. With that being said I will make sure to do another blog post of this soap after the cut.
Have a fantastic day! :)
